How Long Do Cluster Lashes Last?
If you've ever had that moment where your lashes look so good that you wish you could just wake up with them the next morning, cluster lashes might be exactly what you're looking for.
Unlike traditional strip lashes that usually come off at the end of the day, DIY cluster lashes can be worn for several days when they're applied correctly. But how long do they actually last?
The short answer: Muusa Lashikad are designed to last around 5–7 days with proper application and aftercare.
The longer answer? It depends a little on you, your routine and how you treat them.
So, how long do cluster lashes actually stay on?
Most DIY cluster lashes are designed for multi-day wear rather than just one evening.
With Muusa Lashikad, you can expect around 5–7 days of wear when they're applied correctly with Bond & Seal and looked after properly.
For some people that might mean five days. For others, it can be closer to a full week.
Things like naturally oily skin, how much you touch your eyes, your skincare routine, water, steam and even the way you sleep can all make a difference.
And honestly? That's normal.
Your lashes live on your face, not in a laboratory. They go through showers, sleep, workouts, weather and everything else your week throws at you.
The first 24 hours matter
If there's one thing worth remembering after applying your Lashikad, it's this:
Give them time.
Try to avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after application. That means being a little careful with long steamy showers, swimming and anything else that leaves your lashes soaking wet.
This gives the Bond time to set properly.
After that first day, you can go about your normal life — just remember that being gentle with your lashes will always help them last longer.
A good application makes all the difference
You don't need to use a huge amount of Bond to make cluster lashes stay on longer.
In fact, more product doesn't necessarily mean better hold.
Start with clean, dry lashes without oils or makeup residue. Apply a thin layer of Bond close to the base of your natural lashes and give it a few seconds to become tacky before applying the clusters.
Place the Lashikad underneath your natural lashes, close to the lash line without touching the skin.
Once your lash map is finished, gently press the clusters and your natural lashes together with the applicator and finish with Seal.
The whole process can take around 10 minutes once you get used to it.
And yes — the first time will probably take longer.
By your third or fourth application, you'll wonder why it ever felt complicated.
How can I make my cluster lashes last longer?
There are a few little habits that can make a surprisingly big difference:
- Apply them to completely clean and oil-free lashes.
- Avoid water and steam during the first 24 hours.
- Try not to rub or pull at your eyes.
- Be careful with oily skincare products around the lash line.
- Gently press the clusters together again with your applicator if you feel they need it.
- When washing your face, treat the eye area gently rather than scrubbing across the lashes.
You don't have to spend the entire week worrying about them.
The whole point of Lashikad is actually the opposite — less thinking about your lashes, not more.
Can you sleep with cluster lashes?
Yes.
DIY cluster lashes designed for multi-day wear are meant to stay on overnight, so you don't need to remove them before bed.
If you're someone who sleeps face-down with half your face buried in the pillow (we've all been there), you may notice that the outer corners need a little more attention.
Being slightly gentler around your eyes while sleeping can help keep your lash map looking fresh for longer.
Can you shower with cluster lashes?
Yes — after the initial setting period.
Once your Lashikad have had around 24 hours without water, you can shower while wearing them.
Just avoid rubbing them with a towel afterwards. Gently pat around the eye area and let the lashes dry naturally.
And for the sauna girls: yes, we know. 😉
Heat, steam and moisture can put more stress on any lash adhesive, so if maximum wear time is your goal, keep that in mind.
What happens after 5–7 days?
This is the part we actually love about DIY lashes.
You decide.
When you're ready for a fresh set, use Muusa Remover to soften and dissolve the Bond. Give it time to work and gently remove the clusters rather than pulling them from your natural lashes.
And don't automatically throw your Lashikad away.
With careful removal, cleaning and storage, individual Muusa lash clusters can be reused approximately 3–5 times.
That means you can remove your current look, give your natural lashes a little break if you want, and create a completely different lash map next time.
Cluster lashes vs salon lash extensions
For us, one of the best things about DIY cluster lashes is freedom.
Salon extensions can look beautiful, but they also come with appointments, infills and a look that stays relatively fixed until your next visit.
Lashikad work differently.
Want something natural this week? Go shorter.
Going out next weekend? Add more length and volume.
Want them off? Remove them.
Want them back? Apply a new set.
You're in control of the look.
And that was a big part of why we created Muusa Lashikad in the first place.
The Muusa answer
So, how long do cluster lashes last?
With proper application and aftercare, Muusa Lashikad are designed to stay on for approximately 5–7 days.
But we don't think the best part is simply how many days they last.
It's waking up in the morning and already feeling put together.
It's skipping the mascara when you're running late.
It's having ten quiet minutes to yourself while you create your lash map.
Beauty doesn't always need to be another appointment in your calendar.
Sometimes, it can just be your little ritual.
Your eyes. Your ritual. Your Muusa. 🤍
